Hey guys!
We haven’t posted on here in awhile, but I can’t seem to get the website on my iPod, so I’ll just make the post here.
We’re currently watching band #2 at the last show of the on your side tour.
We did the VIP meet and greet, and it was worth the money (plus we really wanted those laminates!) because it wasn’t rushed like a lot of meet and greets are, the band talked to us, and are really nice guys. Plus they we were talking about the office, which we love, so overall they get an A in our book.
So obviously the show is just starting, hopefully I can get my shit together enough to post on re website tomorrow, but I feel like this is a gonna be a good show.
we are interviewing hellogoodbye……………

Regretting that it has taken me soo far too long to see hellogoodbye live, whether it was the fact that I missed the oppurtunity cause of sold out tickets or not being able to go yesterday made up for it. They are hilarious as a whole, sound even better live, and seriously felt like a party instead of a concert. I now vow to make sure to go see them any chance possible from now on.

Sunday night is the We the Kings concert, quite excited its like a day after christmas present to ourselves, well actually technically I did get me my ticket from Caila for my birthday… Im looking foward to it.
I just havent been to a concert in gosh what has it been….. 6 months or so, Im starting to get withdrawals & such. I need a good concert at a good venue, with a band I enjoy, basically just a good general concert experience. Plus because of this lack of concerts means theres been a lack of going-ons with letsgetfancy.com and this blog in general. perhaps this is just the push we need to get things back into the swing of things.
thats my rantings for the night.

So we’ve been slacking a bit since we created the actual website, but the reason we weren’t really using it was because it kind of sucked. We have since parted ways with Intuit, which leaves us back using the blog for the time being. But as I type this Justine is making a whole new, cooler website on a different site, and as soon as we get our domain name from Intuit we will let you guys know.
In the mean time we’ll be updating here. We’re also going to repost the interview we did with Kevin Truckenmiller from Quietdrive incase you didn’t get a chance to read it on the website.
So at the end of my rushed last post I mentioned that Justine and I were heading out to go see The Academy Is…, well we did, twice, and after the long drive out to Syracuse, and an awesome show, we got to talk to William Beckett last night, and he agreed to give us an interview to post on here for you guys!!!! I hope you’re excited!
That’s all for now, I’m going to work on a post about both of the TAI shows when I’m a little more awake, we just wanted to update you guys! =)
Later,

Let me just start out by saying Showcase Live is awesome. It’s spacious, and has nice lounges, and is completely air conditioned.
But this isn’t about Showcase Live (though I do suggest going there) this is about the Maine. I’ve seen the Maine once before at Lupos opening for Boys Like Girls on the Soundtrack of Your Summer Tour, but back then I hardly knew who they were. On Sunday, after recently becoming interested in them, I attended a show on their An Evening With the Maine Tour.
I missed the beginning (woops!) because the tickets said 8pm, and I got there at 8:15 and missed both openers and the beginning of the Maine’s set. However as I walked toward the door I could hear “Girls Do What They Want” and I was impressed by how good they sounded. In my experience it is a rare feat for the band to sound just as good live as on the CD.
The boys put on a good show, joking around, and flirting with the crowd. John (the singer) even had a little conversation with a few of the girls near the stage. They played a couple covers I’ve never heard covered before, “Roses” by Outkast, and “Should I Stay or Should I Go” by The Clash.
They didn’t encore, but they did arrange a signing after the show for anyone willing to stand in a huge line for an autograph and a smile.
Overall it was a great show, one of the best I’ve been to recently.

P.S. coming up soon — some words from Warped Tour (7/13), and Taking Back Sunday (6/28) (yes we’re a little behind!) Also we’re about to head off to see The Academy Is… in North Hampton tonight! =)
Hey folks, we finally have an official website, so you can head over there for all new stuff, like we finally wrote up the interview with Kevin! and we’ll be rotating the stuff onto here once we replace it! =)
