    Take Action Tour

This tour goes to benefit people suffering from Leukemia, and at the show, if you’re over 18, you can sign up to be a bone marrow donor. If you’re not 18, or don’t want to donate bone marrow, you can buy the tour’s album, which is only $7, and has 35 songs on it.

Unfortunately we missed the first band, Call The Cops, but they seemed to be quite popular with crowd, who cheered loudly every time their names were called.

There For Tomorrow was the second band to go on. They captured the crowd’s attention, and crowd took off, getting into it. Jumping up and down, singing along. They definitely know how to put on a live show.

Next up was A Rocket To The Moon, who are Massachusetts natives like myself. It appeared that there was a large number of people in the crowd who were there to see ARTTM, from the moment they took the stage, they had the crowd hooked, including myself. I’ll admit, I’ve never listened to them before, but by the end of their set I had decided that I was a fan.

By the time Mayday Parade took the stage, the floor was jam packed. They really got the crowd going, it was the first time all night I had seen crowd surfers, and some people even tried to start a “circle of death”, which if you’ve ever been in or around one, you know it’s name is accurate. As for live bands go, Mayday Parade certainly isn’t bad, although I wouldn’t say they were my favorite of the night. On another note, Justine and I both noticed that their lead singer resembled William Beckett (like back in the Phrase That Pays days), and worked the stage like Adam Lazzara. Which we found highly entertaining. Justine also noticed that after they wrapped up their set, the floor cleared out a bit. We were both turned off by their light show, I don’t necessarily enjoy the white lights flashing in your face while you’re trying to watch a band.

Don’t fret, from where I was, the crowd was squashed together with excitement for We The Kings. The crowd sang through the house music together as the crew set the stage, people were crowd surfing before they even took the stage. They always put on a great show, they really involve the audience. Like with Travis telling the crowd stories, and making jokes. Every time I’ve seen them, they always play one cover song, and this time it was Mr. Brightside by The Killers, which is possibly my favorite song ever. They had the crowd jumping, singing, and enjoying their show from beginning to end. And the crowd jumped in and chanted for an encore, during which they played what is probably their most well-known song, Check Yes Juliet, and told the crowd to be completely wild, which they were.

Overall, this was a great show. Ticket prices were cheap, and part of them went to charity. The bands were outgoing, friendly, and really good. I think you should all go out to your local Take Action show, I don’t think you’ll regret it.

Feel free to post pictures from the show on this post, also you can always email them to letsgetfancy@hotmail.com, put “Take Action Tour Pics” in the subject line.

Also, we’re currently putting together a list of questions to send to Travis from We The Kings, so if you have a burning question to ask him, you can also email that to us, put “Questions For Travis” in the subject line.

Also I just want to remind you that if you have any pictures at all from any show, feel free to email them to us, just put the band or show in the subject line. =)
